Brave Story is an amazing novel written by Miyuki Miyabe that was later adapted into a manga by Yoichiro Ono. Plot Summary: "When 14-year-old middle-schooler Wataru's father leaves home and his mother is taken ill to hospital, he decides to change his fate by traveling through the magical door shown to him by his mysterious classmate Mitsuru. In a land of magic and monsters, Wataru must summon all his courage and embark on a journey with several comrades to meet the Goddess of Destiny and change this "mistaken fate." So here I am, a senior, and my parents are killing me about college apps. Ugh. I'm pretty confused about the whole process, and not even sure of where I wanna apply. So I turn to you, the mangable community, for aid...HELP ME!!! Lol, I'm not that desperate (yet) but I would like some help without having to read through this huge college application process book that dear daddy got me to read. Geez, he doesn't realize how many chapters of manga I could read in the amount of time that it would take me to get through that bundle of torture! Seriously, it's a waste of trees. My friend suggested that I read the manga Love in the Mask, however I don't think that it's on this site yet. It's supposed to be about this girl (the character's name starts with an H, but I have no idea how to spell it) who grew up with a really harsh past, having to fight gangs and such in order to protect her and her brother. Something really bad happens then in the story (my friend won't tell me what because she doesn't want to "spoil it" x_x) that causes her to run away and be trained as a bodyguard. While being a bodyguard, she has to hide the fact that she is a female and pose as a male. Sorry, my summary probably doesn't do the manga justice because reading over it, it just sounds really vague. My friend does claim it to be really good though! ~Caffeine keeps me alive~ |

Hey, I just made an account today and I'm having major issues with the dashboard. I'm pretty much technology illiterate and have no idea what the heck I'm doing. For some reason when I click on a manga and submit it as under reading, it doesn't show up on the dashboard, but it is marked as reading when I look at it under manga list. So, what am I doing wrong? Is it something obvious where even a two year old would know how to do it? :P ~Caffeine keeps me alive~ |
