english is a compulsory subject in my country but school is NOT where I pick up the language.. though maybe it's a contributing factor... Disney and Cartoonetwork are english right? hehe, that's my base english. Then classic novels which is basically my childhood novel. Then, in highshool, My friend came from an english-speaking family so since she sits beside me for 5 years, I speak english with her all the time. (since my country have so many race, we usually go to a school that matches our mother's language; Malay, Chinese, Tamil or English- but there's also my type of school- a merge of all races kind of school) |

I don't think I'm any different online or offline. But I guess since I choose which sites to go online at, I'm much more talkative online since people actually understood what I'm talking about. |

My username came from the woman who took care of me. Haha, sounds weird right? especially since she's not my mother and my mother is still so well. Either way, she's like my nanny but not exactly .... She officially changed her name a few years ago and then she move to a new town. I moved to a further place too so we're not very close anymore. No one calls her Mei now and even those who knew her back in the past calls her with her new name to respect her wish. Even though I call her with her new name now, but the name Mei is still one full of attachment. I don't ever want to forget it since that's the name I call her when we were reallly close. That's pretty much the only reason I use her name as a username. Then "chang" at the end was simply coz "chan" sounded normal. haha. Sometimes I do feel guilty coz I treasure Mei more than my mom. I read random books, as long as they're good, I'll read them. But my favourites are usually historical books, memoirs. Or the usual family, adventure and fantasy themes. |

I just watch whatever airing when I swith the tv on. If there's nothing interesting, I'll switch to any music-related channels or documentaries or simply switch it off again. |
