 There are authors or artists that I try to follow, so I was wondering if it was possible to please implement an author/artist search function to make this easier for me and maybe a few other people.

 I may not have followed. Andi noted the admin has it on the "to do" list
But I was curious would this sear feature be all inclusive? IE include the current search features into one search box?

Because my suggestion is just to have the "search for" manga/author appear on more than one page or the most prominent menu bar and/or within your dashboard.
