 My friend suggested that I read the manga Love in the Mask, however I don't think that it's on this site yet.

It's supposed to be about this girl (the character's name starts with an H, but I have no idea how to spell it) who grew up with a really harsh past, having to fight gangs and such in order to protect her and her brother. Something really bad happens then in the story (my friend won't tell me what because she doesn't want to "spoil it" x_x) that causes her to run away and be trained as a bodyguard. While being a bodyguard, she has to hide the fact that she is a female and pose as a male.

Sorry, my summary probably doesn't do the manga justice because reading over it, it just sounds really vague. My friend does claim it to be really good though!
