Black Cat - This is pretty good. The story really grasps my attention. The plot is pretty good. The action is good. It also has comedy. Pretty good read. It has a little of everything

Chronos, an organization bent on world peace, rules one third of the world's economy. To maintain the balance of the world, Chronos is therefore essential, and there is a need for people to protect Chronos. Thirteen special elite assassins each possess unique orichalcum-forged weapons and are called the Chrono Numbers, assassins who work for Chronos. When the thirteenth Chronos Number (Train Heartnet), also known as the infamous Black Cat, meets a Sweeper (licensed bounty hunter) named Saya Minatsuki, Train's morals and values are changed from those of Chronos's to those of his own. Instead of killing his victims like he is ordered to, he merely uses Hades (his orihilcon gun) to stop them instead. This leads to tension between him and the Chronos Elders, the leaders of Chronos, and eventually culminates in Train's departure from the organization. Creed Diskenth, a Chronos assassin, resents the way that Saya changed Train's life, and murders her. Six months later, Train is an easygoing Sweeper, traveling with his partners Sven Vollfied and Eve, when Creed appears before Train once more. Creed, whom Train believed dead, now holds awesome power, using ancient spells of Tao, something Chronos believed no longer existed after the War 20 years earlier. Creed, now with followers and power that rival anyone alive, including the numbers, vows to get Train to join him. Train must choose his friends and new life, or revenge, as Creed threatens to undermine Chronos and start his own World Revolution.

One Piece - Very Good. I'm happy people here at mangable recommended it to me. Tons of action and comedy.

There once was a man named Gold Rodger, a pirate, and he was given the glorious title: 'King of the Pirates' for possessing the legendary treasure, One Piece. He had fame, fortune, and power, until one day, he caught and brought to the execution tower to be executed. These were his last words, “My fortune is yours for the taking, but you have to find it first. I left everything I owned in One Piece”.

From that day on, pirates from all around the world sailed to the Grand Line in search of One Piece the treasure that would make their dreams of fame and fortune come true. But no one has ever found the location of Gold Roger's treasure, and the Grand Line is too dangerous of a place to overcome as they were just pirates without any special skills.

22 years after Gold Rodger’s death, a boy named Monkey D. Luffy wanted to give a shot at finding the legendary treasure as he had the vision of becoming the King of Pirates ever since he was a little boy. With inspiration of his idol, the deceased Gold Rodger, and the help of from his role-model, 'Shanks' of the Red Hair Pirates, Luffy sets out and finds a crack team of special people to help him on his arduous quest.

Dragon Ball - How did i not put this in the first post? WTF is wrong with me? This absolutely legendary. A household name. The toughest manga world ever created and toughest hero ever Goku. This is an absolute must.

Bulma is a girl in search of the seven mystical Dragonballs who is told that that, when brought together, can grant any wish. Son Goku is a strange boy with a tail who lives in the woods and is the owner of one of the Dragonballs. The two cross paths and a grand adventure begins, on the way meeting a cast of characters such as a desert bandit, Yamucha; the transforming pig, Oolong; and the great martial master of Kame-Sennin, Muten Roshi. The story starts off based on the traditional Chinese folktale 'Journey to the West.' This series also includes what is known in the United States as 'Dragonball Z.'

Dragon Eye - BLEACH MEETS NARUTO!!!!!!!! Very good manga. Unfortunately it has been on hiatus since 2008. I wish the author would continue it. It would definitely be one i the best manga if the author continues it. Totally recommend.

Ten years ago a terrible virus spread throughout the world, and people and animals alike were infected and transformed into horrible monsters that eat the flesh and drink the blood of the uninfected. These creatures were hence forth known as "Dracules" (after the famous vampire) and what created them the "D-virus". Even worse, because the virus affects the sufferer immediately, a cure has never been developed; the only way to "save" its victims is to kill them. Luckily, there are those who were born with an immunity to the D-virus - they are the VIUS, a Dracule elimination force based in the city of Mikuni (三國?) who safeguard humanity from extinction.

Tegami Bachi or Letter Bee

The story takes place in the land of AmberGround, a place of perpetual night only partially illuminated by an artificial sun. Lag Seeing works as a "Letter Bee" (delivery boy) at the "Bee Hive" (a delivery service), with his Dingo, Niche, and her "pet", Steak, traveling with him. As a Letter Bee, Lag's job is entrusted to deliver letters and packages from town to town while avoiding Amberground's deadliest hazard — a species of giant armored insect known as Gaichuu, who attempt to feed off the "heart" that reside within these letters and packages.

Just started reading it and 1.5 chapters in I started to cry (werid ay? maybe because it was a sad moment and I had sad music playing who knows)

Not going to rate it because I think every manga to read so far is good
Warning: I might fall asleep on the spot.

Medaka Box - Pretty good manga. Its comedy is its best feature. I just picked it up recently and its pretty good.

Medaka Kurokami, the recently elected Student Council President of Hakoniwa Academy, has instituted a suggestion box in order to collect suggestions and improvements from fellow academy students. Together with Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, she solves problems, from finding lost dogs to cleaning up club buildings and even fixing personalities. During the course of the series, Kouki Akune and Mogana Kikaijima are recruited to the student council to help improve the school.

Ruroumi Kenshin - WOW!!! THis is the second manga i ever picked up. Its definitely a must read. Great characters, tons of fight scenes and just a great piece of literature.

During the violent era known as the Bakumatsu, there was an Ishin assassin known only as the Hitokiri Battousai, whose skill and brutality became near legendary in the age of Restoration he helped to build. However, as the time of fighting drew to a close, he vanished without a trace, only to resurface eleven years later as a wandering swordsman, Himura Kenshin. Now staying at a kenjutsu dojo maintained by a fiery-tempered woman named Kamiya Kaoru, and surrounded by newfound friends like the streetfighter Sagara Sanosuke, ex-samurai's son Myoujin Yahiko, and the shrewd doctor Takani Megumi, he seeks to carry out his vow to protect the weak without killing in order to atone for the lives he's taken. It's not long, though, before this vow is put to the test, and the shadows of his past return to haunt him and everyone he holds dear.

SWOT - A very funny entertaining manga. Recommend for Action-Comedy fans.

Transfer student Manabizaki Kyou is a swot, a person who spends too much time studying. His dream is to attend Tokyo University and then work for NASA! He will soon discover, however, that the high school he's transferred into, which was once very prestigious, has taken in delinquents from the surrounding schools. Now it is full of violence and gang fights.

Luckily, Manabizaki has a surprising skill at fighting, particularly when he's defending the peace of his study area. Through this strength he'll find his new friends, a weak boy called Iwashida and a legendary delinquent girl, Hasuno Nene, who makes him feel things that, for the first time in his life, he can't explain...

1 Ashita no Joe [also has an anime]
for any one in to sports manga this is also one of the most influential manga in the Shounen demograpic
Joe Yabuki is a troubled young man who runs away from an orphanage. Wandering through the Tokyo slums, he meets former boxing trainer Danpei. Joe is later arrested and goes to a temporary jail where he fights Nishi, his future best friend and leader of a group of hooligans. He and Nishi then go to a juvenile prison miles away from Tokyo. There Joe meets Rikiishi, a former boxing prodigy, and a rivalry develops between them. They face each other in a match in which Rikiishi dominates Joe until the latter hits him with a cross-counter, resulting in both being knocked out. This inspires the other prison inmates to take up boxing. Joe and Rikiishi vow to fight again.
Danpei instructs Joe in the ways of boxing, but then Joe defeats a young underdog named Aoyama, whom most of the prison made fun of for being so small. Danpei temporarily takes Aoyama under his wing and "abandons" Joe. This causes Joe to feel mentally broken and becomes scared of Aoyama due to the fact that Danpei is teaching him. Joe takes part in the Prison Boxing Tournament. In the semi-finals he faces Aoyama. Joe, being the aggressive fighter that he is, is unable to hit Aoyama who specializes in speed. Joe then learns to effectively defend himself and defeats Aoyama. In the finals, when Rikiishi is scheduled to leave the prison, Joe challenges him to a fight right there and then. Joe cheats by having rocks in his gloves due to exhaustion from his previous match.
Upon his release from prison, Joe manages to go up to Bantamweight, but it isn't easy and Danpei has a very tough time getting him a boxing license due to his past record. Joe then fights a rookie champion boxer named Wolf Kanagushi. Wolf is also a cross-counter specialist and they are thus both considered wolves. Joe challenges Wolf in a locker room brawl in which they both knock each other out. This causes Wolf to have a grudge against Joe and, in retaliation, he harms the neighborhood kids, giving Joe even more motivation to defeat Wolf. Both boxers go under special disclosed training and in the subsequent fight Joe manages to perform a triple-cross counter on Wolf. Joe then earns the right to fight Rikiishi in the professional ring.
Due to the fact that Rikiishi is three weight classes above Joe, he has to cut down on lots of weight and go under a super-strenuous weight loss program. The result is that he becomes as skinny as bones. To compensate for the power that he has lost, Rikiishi relentlessly trains in uppercut boxing, throwing uppercuts till they hit the opponents. Eventually the two great rivals fight each other. Rikiishi defeats Joe but dies as he is about to shake Joe's hand due to an extremely hard blow to the temple. This marks the end of the first story arc.
(In real-life, a full funeral in honor of Rikiishi was held in the offices of the Kodansha publishing company.)
The story resumes with flashbacks of the match between Joe and Rikiishi as a distant memory. Joe is still shaken up from that match, both mentally and physically. Eventually he returns to his old club and starts training again. Soon after, during matches, his trainer Danpei realises that Joe is having a serious problem with boxing: he is not giving shots to the face. Obviously Rikiishi's death was more of a shock than was first realised. It takes Joe quite some time to get over it and costs him three straight losses. But then he finally conquers his fears when he faces the globally #6 ranked Carlos Rivera. The fight ends with a draw, yet it gives Joe tremendous fame and respect around the world, especially since Rivera was going to face the World Champion Jose Mendoza in his next match.
Joe starts to climb up the boxing ladder, but considering he grew a few inches taller, he had to cut weight which proved to be extremely difficult. He finally defeats the Asian–Pacific Champion, Ryuhi Kin, a Korean boxer who accidentally killed his father thinking he was a hungry soldier who was returning to his son to get him food during the Korean War. As a result of this, he developed a phobia of blood. Joe has quite a bit of trouble in this match, because he feels an inferiority complex considering Kin is able to handle weight without a problem and Joe feeling weak as a result of the lost weight. After winning the title match, Joe has several successful title defense matches and wins them all, ultimately defending it against the Malaysian fighter Harimaio. His unorthodox fighting style is unpredictable but Joe manages to successfully defend his title. He is now given the chance to face the World Champion Jose Mendoza, who defeated Carlos Rivera with a KO punch in the first round, ending his boxing career.
Joe faces Mendoza. He fights relentlessly without giving up, no matter how many punches Jose hits him with. The match goes back and forth with Joe able to knock down the Champion more than once. In some instances, becoming the newly crowned World Champion is nearly within reach. Meanwhile, Mendoza sees in Joe's eyes the ghosts of other boxers whom he destroyed throughout his career.
The match goes all of its fifteen rounds. It ends with Joe slumped on a stool in his corner of the ring, tired and bruised but with a smile on his face after his greatest title match against the World Champion. He requests that his gloves be removed and gives them to Youko Shiraki, who confessed her true feelings for him before the match.
There is much tension in the air as they await the judges' verdict : It goes in favour of Jose Mendoza. He looks fragile and old — his hair has turned white. Joe's coach turns to console him only to find that he has d Ringu ni Kakeroied of his injuries, with a smile on his face.

rating 100/100
Ringu ni Kakero[also an anime[[made in 2005 and is still ongoing]
manga part one Ringu ni Kakero I ran from 77 to 81 and Ringu ni Kakero 2 ran 2004 to 2009

Story
The story centers around the life of a young boxer named Ryuuji Takane and his sister Kiku, who is his coach. Ryuuji and his sister both inherited their father's talent for boxing with Ryuuji inheriting his strength and techniques while Kiku picked up his talent for analysis and strategy. In the past, their father was a famous boxer. Ryuuji and Kiku went away from home to train and become famous in order to help their lonely mother. On the way to stardom, they have to defeat the strongest challengers all over the world.
In Ring ni Kakero 1, the characters are briefly introduced, telling the story from the moment Ryuuji and Jun Kenzaki (his eternal challenger and supposedly best friend) fight for the National Boxing Title and having both achieved stardom. Ryuuji's sister then tells the story from the beginning which starts from when Ryuuji is the finalist in a local youth championship and had to compete against Kenzaki, the latter winning after an almost tie and K.O. one-to-one fight.
Afterwards, most of the series tells about Ryuuji being the successor of Kenzaki (as the latter was terribly injured and almost crippled), who competes in the Japan National Boxing Championship, where he encounters strong and deadly opponents, including Ishimatsu Katori (a comic relief, but also a strong fighter), Takeshi Kawai (who specializes in the upper jab technique; he is also a pianist and also likes to cheat) and Kazuki Shinatora (who specializes in the Rolling Thunder technique; he is a former kendo practitioner, who retired when he challenged his father due to his cruel training).
Ryuji has also fought opponents from the United States (Black Shaft) and France (Napoleón Baroa). He once fought an opponent named Führer Skorpion, who ordered a fellow member of the Boxing Team to "follow" (i.e.: spy on) Kenzaki and Ryuuji, as possible threats to the World Championship.
Later on, the story arc about the Jr. Japan team facing Black Shaft's team was adapted into an anime, with Ryuuji, Jun, Ishimatsu, Kazuki and Takeshi represented Japan. Black Shaft had no intention of taking Japan seriously in a boxing match so he recruits Mick, leader of the New York branch of the Great Angels (originally portrayed in the manga as the Hells Angels, a real life biker gang). He also recruits Monster Jail, a deathrow inmate, and Miss Charnel, a mysterious woman boxing champion known for her unhealthy obsession with her own beauty that knows no bounds (even in the ring), to the point where she savors reducing the "pretty" faces of any opponent she faces in the ring into mush. She also has hypnotic powers that she casts upon her opponents to leave them as sitting ducks for her attacks and high-speed punches and fancy footwork. Black Shaft also recruits N.B. Forrest, also known as the emperor of the south and in the manga, a member of the Ku Klux Klan. The second season ends with Team Japan being targeted by a mysterious group called the Shadow Clan.
The Shadow Clan capture Kiku, in an attempt to provoke them to find out their current skills. Ryuuji goes off and fights quite a few members and is able to save him. The Jr. Japan Team then fight off against the 5 strongest members of the Shadow Clan led by Jun's older brother, Shadow Jun. Shadow Jun then fights off against Ryuuji, which ends in a draw since Jun wasn't concerned with fighting his older brother. Shadow Jun becomes a recurring character later in the manga.
Continuing in the manga, the Jr. Japan Team enter the Jr. World Tournament to get a shot at the current world champions, Team Greece. The first opponents are Jr. Italy Team, led by Don Juliano who rules the Mafia. Secondly, they fight Jr. Face Team led by Napoleón Baroa. Then at last, they fight against the Jr. Germany Team led Führer Skorpion and his assistant Helga who are able to reflect their opponent's attacks back at them. Surprisingly, Ryuuji doesn't fight the last match, as Kenzaki unleashes his Galatica Phantom against Führer Skorpion.
After winning the Jr. World Championship. Team Japan then takes on the Best Team in the world, Team Greece led by Apollon. Each member represents the 12 olympic gods of Greece, and are out to fight Team Japan, but not before a few of the leaders of the other teams of the world join them. Team Japan is then joined by Napoléon Barona, Führer Skorpion, Krüger Helga, and Shadow Juhn. The leader of the gods is Zeus, who helps Team Japan take on the organization known as Asura, whom Kawai temporarily joins.
After Asura is defeated, the members of Team Japan retire, and Kenzaki decides to pursue a Pro Boxing Career now that he is 17. Kenzaki fights the current world champion, Jesus J. Christ who uses the strongest technique in the World, the "Neo-Bible". But before this match happens, Kenzaki is confronted by Katori on the way to the title fight, whom is enraged because of Kenzaki acting distant toward Kiku as of late. Kenzaki manages to come out on top, but thanks Katori for giving him his fighting spirit. Despite his injuries, Kenzaki manages to come out on top against Jesus Christ.
Later, Ryuuji also enters the pro ring, and then after a year of successful title defenses, Kenzaki issues a challenge to Ryuuji to end their rivalry. The fight results in a brutal death match, to where Ryuuji manages to defeat Kenzaki but during this match, Ryuuji and Kenzaki's bodies had reached their limit, and were on the verge of death. After Ryuuji wins, he falls over and is unable to stand. However, Kenzaki and Kiku are to get married on that same day (with Kiku wearing her mother's wedding dress) and wanting to show Kiku the victor, Kenzaki helps Ryuuji over to the Church where Kiku is waiting. But when they arrive, Ryuuji is unable to stand and falls over to his sister's arms. The rest of Team Japan and Shadow Jun rush to the church, but then find Ryuuji lying down...dead with a smile and the very title he won on his waist... next to both Kenzaki and Kiku who proudly smile at him. The ending was a tribute to the ending of Ashita no Joe.
The main techniques of Ryuuji are his Left-Right Jabs, his stubborn courage (similar to that of Seiya when fighting and never giving up) and his special techniques: "Boomerang Hook", "Double Boomerang", "Boomerang Square", "Boomerang Telios" and "Winning the Rainbow". Ryuuji and Kawai were the finalists of the tournament.

The monsters are called "Trouble", and get the world have fallen into chaos. Along with the first appearance of the "Troubles", some number of humans were born with or acquired supernatural abilities. These mutants called "Trace" are the only ones who can fight off the "Trouble". The plot revolves around two main characters. Sah Gang-kwon, a high school student born as a "Trace" who attempts to hide his ability. The panel stated that they easily reached to choose it as the grand prix because not only it scored the highest point in the netizens' recommended works but also it fully meets the required criteria; characteristics of web manhwa technique, and artistic features.

Since April 2007 this manhwa had been featured on Daum, one of major internet portals of South Korea that is being considered a birthplace of many hit webtoon.
