 The first one I ever read was Tokyo Crazy Paradise and it is still one of my all time favorites. It is old but I just read it about two years ago.

 haha~ I used to hate manga- that was when I was 5 or 6, coz my parents been going on and on about how terrible comic is and bla bla..and since I was quite a reader at 6, I thought that those books with pictures shows just how much people are stupid with words

but then I found out that my eldest sis and brother were secretly reading them..
the first manga I read would be Detective Conan, I think I was 7.. I only started it to prove that comics are useless and boring etc..
haha, but then I got totally hooked.
I kinda regret actually supporting my mum bashing about 'em years ago.

 I remember my sisters and I used to laugh when we walked past the sections in the bookstores and libraries that had manga on the shelves. We would snicker about how dorky it was.

*slaps younger self*

The first manga I read was My Heavenly Hockey Club. I never bothered to finish that series, but it was enough to get me interested. I think it was RuroKen that got me well and truly hooked, though. I can't remember when I found that one, but from then on, I started straying towards that section of the bookstores and libraries, snickering little sister's or not. ^_^

 I randomly picked up a Full Metal Alchemist volume at the library one day and skimmed it. The first series I ever actually read though was Love Hina.

haha, kinda' same as me then^^ Now, I'm the one who's annoyed when certain bookstores doesn't have any manga section.
