 They are pretty simple rules. Its pretty similar to most other sites that users can communicate with each other.
Unless you are actually making an effort to offend someone or make it difficult for the administrators they are generally very easy rules to follow.
Freedom does have limits if it is intended for the benefit of everyone. It kind of defeats the purpose if people are suffering just because others can do whatever they want.
Rules are not made to make life difficult. These rules are made so everyone can enjoy themselves and feel safe while not having a negative effect on the other users.

There are people who don't care because of the fact this is the internet. They believe no one should take it seriously, which is a good thing to keep in mind but it can be bad as well.
People are people...all you can do is put up rules and enforce them. Not everything can or will be fair. Everyone sees things differently and that's what makes it hard to get along.

Someone may cuss a lot but be very thoughtful to certain (deep) subjects. You can see racism but not realize it's also the persons nationality. You can see people joking about cancer and other serious matters and not see that it's how they cope with the fact they lived through it.
