 Right now, I am currently learning these languages as follows:
1. Japanese
2. Chinese
3. Italian
and #4. Korean (if I choose too).

Terd, I will also learn teh Japanese and then I will learn what I know to you! That way we can read untranslated manga and still be alright! That would be awesome. Lifetime goal/ultimate achievement of my life. everything else like getting a job is just secondary

i already know a couple of "letters" in one of the alphabets i think i do anyway

 I think I know the/one? of the character(s) for person (learned it from naruto and reinforced by k-on)

I actually went a whole four seconds without looking at the subtitles/screen and I knew what was being said in an anime that I watched!

To me it just sounds like noises that people make with their mouths. I should really be a bit more appreciative of the Japanese language. They are pretty sounds anyway

I learnt french for a year but forgotten just about all of it when i stopped. To continue doing a language at my school past yr8 then you have to do it as an elective and there are so many other things i would rather do... Like music!!

 Learning Japanese is much easier than learning Korean i can tell you that much.

 My native language is Vietnamese and I'm from California (now in New Orleans, Louisiana) sadly, because of a few events I can't speak Vietnamese as well as I use to. I plan on learning it again though because its always nice to be able to speak in your native language to others of your kind. ^^

 My country native language would be Malay, at least that's what they declared. But we basically have 3 main language: Malay, Chinese(though I'm not sure which dialect) and Tamil.

Though all my life, my neighbours and family speaks Malay, I'm terrible with it. I went to school where English is compulsory and my friends are mostly Indians and Chinese. So I picked up more of their language instead. Weird, eh?

So, I think I'm fluent in English, a bit in Malay. Although I can't speak Chinese and Tamil, I can understand them. I'm quite good in japanese too, thanks to everyday anime but I can't read kanji.

 My native language is English, but I've been taking French Immersion all though school so I'm supposedly fluent in that as well.
