How cute, people with nothing better to do.

ANYWAY...

Ai Yori Aoshi

Romatic Comedy/Drama/Harem

Plot Summary: Kaoru Hanabishi, a college student who lives alone, met a beautiful but bewildered girl dressed in kimono at train station. He volunteered to guide her way to the address she was looking for, which looked like in his neighborhood but turned out to be an empty lot. Not knowing what to do next, Kaoru invited the devastated girl to his apartment and asked for additional clue -- a photo with two children whom Kaoru immediately identified as himself and Aoi Sakuraba, his childhood friend. It turned out that the girl in front of him is Aoi Sakuraba herself, his betrothed fianc茅e who came all the way to Tokyo to marry him. Her revelation was not only surprising but also reminded the deepest part of Kaoru's memory for why he left the Hanabishi family in the first place.

Sequel: Ai Yori Enishi

If you enjoy the anime be sure to read the manga. The story goes a lot further in the manga.

Ultra Maniac

Romantic Comedy

Plot Summary: Nina, a young girl from the Magic Kingdom, is a candidate for princess. She travels to Earth to search for Holy Stones required for her to be qualified as a candidate. On Earth, she meets Ayu Tateishi, who right away discovered her magical powers and who eventually became her best friend. They continue their friendship as Ayu further learns about Nina's mission. Finally, she collected the 5 Holy Stones. However, a dilemma then came: Nina cannot decipher on what road will she take -- to become a princess, or remain on Earth with her friends.

Again, I recommend the manga as well but this time because the stories are different. The reasons for her being on Earth are different in the manga. Though the humor is the same of course, silly and a bit cheesy.

Sword Art Online a.k.a SAO

Trapped and fighting for their very lives in a Virtual Reality MMORPG, Aincrad Online, the story explores the mishaps and adventures of the greatest one handed swordsman of the VR world, Kirito. Together with his friends, the solo swordsman strives to finish the game, which in turn will release all the minds trapped into Aincrad.

(Source: ANN)

Basicly the players in the game are trapped and can't logged out. The only way is to defeat the final boss on the 100th level. Oh did I memtion once your HP reaches zero your brain gets fried my mirowaves?? A parent's worst nightmare or a gamer's dream come true? The story revolves around a player named Kirito who was one of the few players to try out the game before the release (a Beta Tester). Kirito is a solo player (pretty much a one man team) he is also named 'The Black Swordsmen" due to the fact he is a high level, wears black all the time and can wield 2 swords at once (says wiki anyway). I really love this anime, it has really good design, the voice actors are good and the story line is great.

so far it has 4 epsiodes right now but it is worth waiting for

5/5 for me
Warning: I might fall asleep on the spot.

This. Just saying. It's fantastic (so far, anyway). The battle scenes remind me of the Tales Of ______ series. And that's a good thing.

If you like SAO you might like Guilty crown. They feel similar to me.

Or if you like stuff like Kaiji, spice and wolf, Welcome to NHK, or planetes you might like Uchyuu Kyoudai.

If you're wanting to get a bit of goosebumps you might want to watch Another(that's it name) or Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. Dusk maiden is romance comedy too but it still gives you goosbumps.

Hohoho well i've seen 100% of what i listed Just trying to list similar anime

Jormungand for people who like canaan or black lagoon

For mecha MuvLuv total eclipse is starting to look better but the first few episodes were really disappointing. There's alway's the classics like gundam and macross too.

Gosick for if you like detective conan but cant withstand over a hundred episodes and no plot.

Mushishi is really nice I'm only about halfway through cause i only watch it when i want to just chill. Bit of supernatural. Don't really know what this is similar too.

RahXephon and Neon Genesis Evangelion are really similar but NGE is more of my favorite because of the rebuilds.

Fate/Zero is really amazing but you need to watch or play the Fate/stay night visual novel to kind of understand.

Ergo proxy mardock scramble appleseed for cyberpunk (i still haven't watched ghost in shell...)

katanagatari has a similar story to ruroni kenshin but then again i haven't watched kenshin either haha

For perverted funnies there's Infinite stratos Korean zombie desu ka? Highschool dxd kyoukai senjou no horizon Sora no otoshimono Aikikan and panty and stocking with garterbelt

If you like k-on then sora no woto

I went through this thread and Guilty Crown isn't actually listed. So here goes:

"On Christmas Eve, 2029, the unidentified "Apocalypse Virus" spreads and plunges Japan into a state of emergency in a chaos known as the "Lost Christmas" incident. An international organization known as the GHQ intervenes with martial law and restores order to Japan at the cost of its independence.

Ten years later in 2039, Shu Ouma, a 17-year-old high school student who keeps to himself in school, meets Inori Yuzuriha, the lead singer of Egoist, while visiting one of his favorite places before heading home from school. Shu is a big fan of Inori, a singer who has taken the Internet world by storm. However, he also discovers another side of her: she is a member of the Undertakers, a resistance group that aims to liberate Japan from the GHQ. Shu inadvertently gets involved with the Undertaker and the King's Mark appears on his right hand after the Void Genome canister in his pocket broke. This mark bestows him the power to reach inside another person's heart to extract and materialize a weapon or item from it. The anime tells the story of Shu's reluctant involvement with the Undertakers and the hardship involving the battles they fight and the lost truth of Shu's past." (Source Wikipedia)

This anime is interesting, showing the relationship between the government and the public, and the morals one must take into consideration while finding a even ground between the two. I found the characters likeable and reasonably well developed. While some find the story to be lacking (it's certainly not the best), it's easily bearable if you like the characters, and the dynamic between the rebel force and the government makes you think. Probably the series's best asset is the animation, it is GORGEOUS.

Like many series, Guilty Crown has robot suits, special powers, and giant swords, so there's some incentive for you.

You can think of this kind of as a cross between Code Geass and Sword Art Online.

There is a promotional video for the series here.

Altogether, I'd give it about 4.2/5

By the author and creator of Sword Art Online I present you ....

Accel World

In the year 2046, Neuro-synchronization, a technology system that allows humans to manipulate their five senses, has become widespread to the point where people can access the internet and enter virtual worlds through a device known as a Neuro-Linker.
Haruyuki "Haru" Arita is a short, fat boy who has low-self esteem due to constant bullying. To escape the torment of real life, he logs in to the school's virtual world network where he plays squash alone and always gets the highest score.
One day, Haru attracts the attention of the Student Council Vice-President "Kuroyukihime" who offers him Brain Burst, a secret program which allows a person to make time appear to stand still in their surroundings by "accelerating" their brainwaves in the real world. Unfortunately, there is a limit to how many times a person can accelerate since each acceleration costs Burst Points, and the primary way to get more points is to fight and defeat other Brain Burst users in the program's virtual reality massive multiplayer online (VRMMO) fighting game. However, if a user loses all of his/her points, the Brain Burst program will uninstall itself and block all re-installation attempts, thus permanently removing the user's ability to accelerate. In addition, a Brain Burst user may only distribute a single copy of the game. Due to the nature of Brain Burst, the installation may fail if certain conditions are not met. In order to successfully install and use Brain Burst, a prospective user must have a Neuro-Linker installed at birth and must be able to handle heightened brain activity. The one-distribution-per-user rule applies even if an installation fails. Users of Brain Burst are known as "Burst Linkers."
Kuroyukihime wants Haru's help as she wishes to reach the highest achievable level, which is level 10, and meet the creator of Brain Burst in order to learn its true purpose, but in order to do that, she must defeat five other level 9 users who are known as "The Six Kings of Pure Color," the leaders of the six most powerful factions in the Brain Burst world. Haru agrees to help Kuroyukihime to repay her as well as overcome his weaknesses. (Source: Wikipedia

How should I put this ......... I secret game community where you get only one chance to enter in this community and if you lose all your points in the game you lose all the memories that associate with the game.

I'll give it a 4.5/5

Sengoku Basara- A series adapted from the series of games by CAPCOM which take famous figures from the Segoku Period (or Warring states period) of Japan and give the full on anime treatment such as sonic speed, super strength, and of course elemental magic.

The series is set during the time in the Sengoku era when Japan was split into dozens of major provinces, most of which were at war with each other. Oda Nobunaga ruled over about a third of Japan and was planning to rule japan as king and end the war. The series follows Sanada Yukimura the retainer or right-hand-man of General Shingen Takeda (The Tiger of the Kai Province) and his rivalry with Date Masamune a powerful samurai and general. Mostly the series is an interesting look at japanese history and will either get you interested in these famous figures in history or not, but even is it doesn't the animation is great, there are plenty of crazy awesome fights and there are some really cool characters and designs.

Many of the characters (since they are famous generals and warriors in Japanese history) appear in a variety of games the most notable being Sengoku Basara series, Samurai Warriors series, and Pokemon Conquest. If you enjoy the show you may also enjoy seeing how your favorite character looks in the more realistic Samurai Warriors or in a pokemon game.

Hajime no Ippo- Makunouchi Ippo is a high schooler who gets picked on and beat up a lot, until one day he is offered a boxing lesson by a boxer named Takamura Mamoru. To both of their surprise it turns out that since Ippo has been helping his mom load and unload fishing boats since middle school he has an enormous amount of natural strength, he just doesn't know a single thing about fighting. He becomes so interested in the world of boxing that he wants to become the best he can, and so sets his sights on the title of Feather Weight Champion of Japan.

The series exposes you to the basics of boxing and then slowly builds on that because the audience is on the same level as Ippo since he knows nothing of the sport. The animation is pretty decent is gets pretty bad at the comedic moments but when it gets to a major fight it can look pretty amazing. The animation is at its absolute best in the second series (Hajime no Ippo New Challenger). The interesting thing about the show is that before each fight you get 1 or 2 scenes to introduce you to Ippo's opponent and you get to understand their personality and get a bit of backstory, a few of them you may even begin caring about during said scenes. Aside from Ippo the series also follows Takamura and Ippo's rival Miyata Ichirou for some time. Both of them have interesting stories of where their fighting career takes them. If you like sport or fighting animes you'll definitely enjoy this one.
