 Just started thinking about how funny it is that my friends and I get each other hooked on animes. One of my friends showed me Fruits Basket and i got my other friend addicted Inuyasha, Eureka 7, and Vampire Knight. (she was so excited for it she bought it at the mall the next day) So, anyways, i wanted to hear how other ppl got their friends sucked into the anime world or how one of ur friends introduced u to it! Write away!

 When I was like 8 I was a very shy girl..

My classmates always talk about anime and such..

I had certainly no clue what they were talking about so I decided to watch it on TV..

I loved it so much that I approached them and shared my thoughts and views..

We would pretend we were the characters in it and we played everyday..

Until now we still keep in touch even though some of them aren't that into anime and manga anymore..

 i got into it by myself, and started watching anime/manga on the internet at 14 then a year later i got my best friend into it and now we just both love taking about it all the time

 I was introduced to anime when I was 13 by my friends at high school. They were more into it than I was 'cause I liked to make up my own stories and imaginary worlds and stuff (I still do) and I'd try to draw my characters. But every now and then I'll really get into reading something. I'm in a bit of a lull right now over what to read and the only people I talk anime with are a 7-hour drive and more away and I don't keep in touch with them all that often. (hence why I joined mangable)

 well we had a college anime club where anyone could go and watch anime. Unfortunately most of the people that came were kinda creepy. (unlike myself) there were a couple of stereotypical otaku's that came and completely killed our moods / buzz.
