just finished watching summer wars. i thought it was great! was a bit of a change from what i am used to but i really enjoyed it. The animations are really well done and the story is different. Kenji (the main character) also reminds me of an old friend i had. If anyone thinks the OZ avatars look childish THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER WILL SMITE YOU. anywhoo, if you havent watched it yet, i highly reccomend you do. ending made me LOL hard. really cute =)

5 centimeters per second

watched this a few days ago (my friend reccomended me it) It is a slice of life/romance anime. oboy...* the animations in this one are just gorgeous (IMO) i thought this one had a great story. was different from the kind of romances i usually read/watch. i dunno, it made me sad at the end...

i recently came across a quote that helped me understand 5cm/s better and it gave me a totally different opinion of this movie.

"The mark of a mature man is a certain scar he bears: the memory of a perfect woman he never won, or of a once true love forever lost. however much he may love you, he is only here because she is not."

sooo errmmmmmmm if anyone gots any anime movies they really like, pl0x recommend them to meeeeee daankeeeeeeee

The first time i saw this anime was on adult swim maybe 5 years back. I never had cable so the only episode i watched was at my auntie's house. So, 5 years later, i come across a thread talking about it and i was like "OMG I NOSTALIGIA'D."
anywhoo, i thought this anime was pretty great. if any of you who are reading this are Neon genesis evangelion fans, you might like this series. The animations are pretty good and i like how the characters were designed. The mangaka needed to add more backstory though.

Beyond the clouds The promised place

i thought this was amazing =o! Plot was original, animations were well done, music went really well with the movie. the violin part makes me feel funny inside. The way Hiroki was when he moved to tokyo kind of reminded me of how i was acting a year ago... It's nice though, how hiroki and takuya both dreamed of flying to the tower. The story never does tell you why they are at war but that is irrelevant cause i like this movie.

Nichijou

let us see... This anime is... uhmm....... random... an example: friend asks to borrow notebook but the one loaning forgot that she doodled a yaoi scene in it Then she starts chasing her around and when she is about to give up she has some sort of super sayan power up and starts running on walls and stuff.... completely randomly mind blowingly hilarious. the characters are a bit loli but whocares cause its funneh

Ano hi mita hana no namae bokutachi wa mada shiranai (ano hana for short)

There are not many anime that can make me sad. the story is about a bunch of friends that drifted apart after one of them died. her "ghost" comes back and can only be seen by one of the members. Each one of the friends has something they felt guilty about and how selfish they were being. Reminds you that you are not the only one with problems in this world. its pretty short with 12 episodes but it has its way of growing onto you. The opening song is one of my favorites along with the credit song for bakemonogatari.

Hellsing Ultimate

This seinen is reallllly awesome. a nice change from all the current day vampirey things. it does have a little comedy sprinkled in here and there but the overall tone of the anime is serious. It is reccomended to watch the OVA's instead of the original anime because the OVA's follow the manga more closely. also love how crazy father anderson is. (where the heck does he keep all those knives?) i want to see an ultimate showdown between alucard and anderson.
